Boarding Services
Our boarding boasts all the hospitalities to make DePAW University, Canine Campus, Inc. your pet's home away from home. We supply blankets, bedding, cots, measuring cups, food dishes and water for all of our guests to ensure their comfort during their stay. Dogs that enroll in our daycare options will play in daycare during the day and be kenneled individually at night. We want to see your pets as happy as they are at home, so feel free to bring something small, inexpensive and easy to wash to keep that familiar/family scent with him/her.

What to Bring...

If you wanted, all you would have to bring is your dog(s) on a collar & leash! (assuming all required vaccinations are always kept up to date with copies at our facility.)  We have food, treats, bowls, beds, cots, blankets, toys, etc.

Although, here are some of our recommendations:

Vaccinations
It is the owner's responsibility to always have copies of  the required and up-to-date vaccinations on file at the facility. Do not rely upon your vet to know what vaccinations and tests we need, as some facilities require different things. Although we try our best to help notify the owners at time of booking their reservations about overdue vaccinations, ultimately it is the owners responsibility. We need these copies from your pet's vet by time of drop off. We kindly request you have them either faxed or dropped off at our facility in advance of their stay in order to confirm we have everything we need and make check-in more efficient.

The required vaccinations needed to partake in all of our services are:

For dogs: 1) Rabies, 2) Distemper/Parvo, 3) Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and a 4) Negative Fecal Exam performed within the past year

For cats & ferrets: 1) Rabies 2) Distemper.

We understand there are some owners that, for personal reasons, prefer not to vaccinate their pets due to possible allergic reactions or "over-vaccination"; therefore, a titer is required by your vet to be on file from the past year. We require a vet's note for older/sick animals whose owners have been advised that their pet(s) should no longer receive vaccinations. These exceptions apply only to the Distemper/Parvo vaccine, per the Department of Agriculture. We cannot accept titers or exemptions for the Rabies vaccine.

We have the Canine Bordetella (intranasal) available for purchase on-site at the facility. See Vaccinations under Rules and Regulations for more info.

FOOD & TREATS
We strongly encourage you to bring your own dogs food. Due to nerves, change of environment, allergies, etc. it is easier on your dog to be on the same food as at home. Although if you would like, we feed a very high quality, all natural dog food for a small charge.  You can also bring your dogs own treats.

BEDS & TOYS
You may bring a few of your dogs belongings, but we require blankets or beds that can be easily washed in case of any accidents. We need to be able to fit the entire bed or blanket into the washing machine (not just the cover). We also have a large supply of blankets, beds and cots available at no additional charge. We strongly discourage you from bringing your pup's favorite toys or big beds. We do not want your pup's favorites ended up ruined or lost.

MEDICINES & SPECIAL CARE
Special requests such as medicines or special care for older pups and other requests are no problem and usually no charge. Please bring the dogs' medicine in the container it came - properly labeled with 1) name of medicine   2) what it is for   3) dosage requirements and    4) first and last name of the dog.

UNDERAGE GUESTS
We can board puppies under 4 months of age, but they will not be able to participate in the daycare programs. They need to be current on their booster shots in order to board with us.

BOWLS & MEASURING CUPS
Please do not bring these items (unless there is an important reason). We have a routine with our feeding/watering method to keep the facility physically clean and from passing germs and do not allow germ build up. We also switch out water dishes often throughout the pet's stay to keep things sanitary. As we go from dog to dog feeding we do not want to take the chance in using/losing someone else's measuring cup. We have found that both of these items end up in the mix and lost. We have plenty of bowls & sizes to accommodate your pet(s).

CATS
We do provide typical litter and litter box with liners, but if you prefer your own you are more than welcome to bring it. At this time we have limited cat food as kennel food, so please bring your own cat food. No charge to feeding your own cats' food.

FERRETS
We have great suites with beds & climbing items for ferrets, but please call for reservations - your cage may be required (no cost difference). We do provide typical litter and litter box with liners, but if you prefer your own you are more than welcome to bring it. You must bring your own food as well as any other necessities.

OTHER GUESTS (Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Rats, etc)
Please bring all supplies: cage, bedding, food, water holder, etc.
